Here are directions for inserting your BannerLink
HTML code using Netscape Composer:
On the menu bar, choose Edit | Preferences
Choose Composer | Publishing
Uncheck Maintain links and Keep
images with page
Click OK
On the menu bar, choose Insert | HTML Tag
Paste* the BannerLink HTML code exactly as it
was given to you
IMPORTANT! Make sure the cursor is flush
against the end of the BannerLink HTML code with no
spaces or linebreaks. This editor is extremely picky. If the cursor is not flush
against the end of the BannerLink HTML code, you'll
get a Premature close of tag error message.
Click OK
That's it. You should see a yellow link symbol appear. If you preview the page,
you should see a banner. If you are using Netscape to publish your site, after
you have clicked Publish please remember to
click Select None under Other
files to include.
*Copying is a standard function that almost all Windows and
Mac applications have. To Copy, highlight the text using the mouse and choose Edit
from the menu bar at the top and then select Copy
(Ctrl C). To Paste, place the cursor where you want to begin the BannerLink HTML
code and select Edit then select Paste
(Ctrl V).
